Best Team in the NHL?

Who do you think is the best team in the NHL? The stats might prove to be a different story for those facts. So let’s dive into the facts. When you look at the points in the entire NHL the Columbus Blue Jackets and Washington Capitals are tied for the top of the league with 100 points. Then when we look at which team has scored the most goals that team is the Pittsburgh Penguins with 246 goals. Then when we look at goaltending the Washington Capitals have allowed the least amount of goals this season at 154 goals. The Washington Capitals have two of the best goalies in Branden Holtby (All-Star Star Game starter for Metropolitan Divison) and Philipp Grubauer. The best team for sure if the entire game were to be a power play would be the Buffalo Sabers with a 24% power play percentage. I think the fans though think that the Chicago Blackhawks are the best teams as the fans picked 4 Blackhawks players in the All-Star Game most of any team. You still can’t count out the Pittsburgh Penguins since they won the Stanley Cup last year.

So I think that the Washington Capitals are the best team in the Eastern Conference and the Chicago Blackhawks are the best team in the Western Conference. I think that the Capitals are the best because they have the most points in the league while playing in the hardest division the Metropolitan and their goaltending as been exceptional. I think that the Blackhawks are the best team in the West because they have the most points in the west and their starting goalie Scott Darling has the highest save percentage in the league at a .931%. So overall I think that the Washington Capitals are the best team in the NHL.
